Holiday Baking

The kids had a lot of fun doing all this holiday baking spread over two days! Of course the gingerbread houses and men were the best! So grateful for these sweet kids I have been blessed with who make me laugh every day!

Ok, so I know the cookies look sick, but the kids had fun! This big circle cookie is about 6in. in diameter and is Landon's "world." He's pretty excited about it. The green is the water and the red is the land. What a cutie!

Best Buds!

This is my Landon and Carter at best! They sure do love each other very much! I was in the other room when I heard Carter just giggling up a storm! I came in to find Landon blowing up a balloon and letting the air out repeatedly. Carter LOVED it!! He was going non-stop for at least 10 minutes! Soooooo cute!!

Scissor Control Problem

Landon had been cutting paper at the kitchen table. I came in later to find my table runner like this . . . in case you can't tell, there is a 3 inch slice in it that is taped with Scotch tape! I had to laugh at it, then called him in to explain. He said, "I did it on accident . . . but I taped it so it's all better for you!" How can you be mad at that, honestly??

I don't like this!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously?!?!?! This picture is hilarious! Landon and I were cracking up over this face Carter made the entire time I was feeding him this! I don't remember what it was exactly, but I don't think he liked it!!!!

Landon Ready for Bed!

This is Landon in bed dressed and accessorized according to his wishes. He must be anticipating a massive battle tonight or something! Don't overlook the Bumblebee Transformer he's snuggled up with. He honestly is too funny sometimes! I enjoyed a nice, poky hug tonight!

My Lamp!

A couple months ago a favorite lamp of mine broke. Before throwing it away I decided to take out the cord and hardware so I could someday make a lamp and not have to buy a lamp kit. For those of you who know me well, I live for my projects! I realized the other day that Carter's room was missing a lamp. So, at about 8pm last night, I decided to make one! I had been looking online at how to make lamps earlier in the day, so when the kids were in bed, I ventured out to the garage with some wood, a skill saw, and a sander. When I was done with that I came inside and spent some time assembling it. By midnight I had a fun lamp! Today was finish/paint day. It is not perfect, but it's pretty cool, and I must say I'm pretty proud of myself for figuring it out and creating something unusual. I think it's pretty cool! Now Carter's room is complete in the lighting department! Well, I guess I do need to do a shade!

PUMPKINS!!!!

What great pumpkins! Landon's "idea" MAY have been encouraged, but we all loved it! The pirate pumpkin was one I made for Landon for his birthday. He thought it was really cool!

Landon's Birthday

He's now 5 years old! He had a great party the weekend before his birthday so daddy could be here, then we had some fun times on his birthday on Tuesday. We went on a little outing with Bethie and Grandma Barnes, then Landon was able to do one of his favorite things, go to Bethie/Milo's house to play! Great times!

Halloween!

As usual, not the most high quality picture of my kids, but there they are nonetheless, in style! Ironman, ladybug, and lion. We went to the ward party where the kids collected big time, and Landon enjoyed the spook alley. Landon and I went out trick-or-treating after that for an hour, and he really enjoyed. Cousin Milo came along for the ride, but courteously declined all treats because he, "already came here," "already has a lot," or just plain, "no thank-you." Glad they had fun!

Corn Maze!!

We had a great time at the corn maze and pumpkin fest! Landon totally knew what was going on and was hunting for the exit (thank you, Curious George "Corn Maze" episode)! The only problem was that he was mad it wasn't a "race" against other "contestants." Halle just followed running, all excited at the opportunity to run around! They were pretty cute. They were also able to feed some goats cabbage leaves, see some other farm animals, and play on a fun playground. Landon and I planted our pumpkins in the garden this year, as is now tradition, but due to Carter's birth, we were several weeks too late, and our little pumpkins are still green. Soooo, the kids were able to each choose a pumpkin to buy after the maze. They were excited about that. It was a fun family date for us!

Mayo Baby

Halle is in this phase where she pretends anything is a baby. This is her cradling a bottle of mayonnaise, yes, MAYONNAISE! She must be related to her Aunt JJ and Great Grandma Gertie!

Coneheads!

The kids stole Steve's work cones from his truck and had some fun with them. Halle was calling it her birthday hat. Heehee!

Carter's Future Look

Well, at least now, thanks to Landon's creativity, we know what Carter will look like if he ends up having his brother's eyes! This was one of those moments as a mom when you have to laugh and take a picture before you get mad at your child. It was pretty funny, even if he shouldn't do it again!

Halle's sporting a new look

Look at this pretty girl! She's lookin' hot today . . . ready for a night out on the town! Sweet girl

Carter Bathtime

Just a cute picture of Carter :)

Peanut Butter Playdough!

Malia came over to join us for some peanut butter playdough fun. The kids seemed to enjoy themselves . . . can you go wrong with edible activities???

Carter's First Cereal

I thought this was funny. Most babies make funny faces when you first give them cereal as if they are disgusted, but all Carter wanted to do was suck the spoon like a bottle. Funny kid

Are you freakin' kiddin' me?!?!?

Thanks so much, Beth, for the AMAZING pics! These are so flippin' cute of Landon! Beth took him down to the tracks by our house and she said he was extremely cooperative . . . what? Landon? Heehee, hey, I'm not complaining! Panks Panks!

Cracks me right up!!

This is my little Halle in mid-jump! Seriously? What an outfit (note daddy's socks and the pink cowgirl boots), and Halle, have we taught you about a brush yet???? Nut!!

My Sweet Boys!

What cute brothers!! Love these boys so much!
Landon sure loves his new baby brother, "Baby
Carter." He's so good with him, and it's nice to
have him enjoy Carter so much!

Landon was having a ton of fun riding his bike with his daddy, who was pushing him fast all around the yard. Good times

Halle enjoyed her corn on the cob . . . and we enjoyed laughing about her "storage" place for it when she was done with it!! Haha!

Sunday Afternoon

Cuties

All you need to give these two is a bag of potato chips and they are all set for 30 minutes of bonding! Cute kids . . . they sat here together all on their own :)
