Look at these naked babies!!

Landon really liked this "bath game" (of taking pictures and hugging Halle). So much in fact, that he asked to play it about the next 4 times they took a bath!!

I was searching the computer for a picture of
Landon to put on here, and when I saw this
one, I knew it was the one. He can be such a
cute kid! I love his little tongue that is
sticking out. Silly boy!

Sweet Girl

This is my favorite picture of all time! It's sure nice to have a photographer in the family!! Yikes! Too cute! This little girl, I tell you what . . . . melts my heart!

Well, after a month of initially setting up this blog, I decided I'd better make it look good and actually add a picture or two ;). So, I have to admit, it's been a little fun, but honestly . . . . like I have time to keep up with this! Maybe every month or so I will be able to get a new picture or two on here.

Cute Kid Stories

2012

We were planning to go to Planet Play (an arcade place) for Landon's birthday. When we started to get shoes, socks, hair, etc to leave, Halle said, "Mom, are we leaving Earth?" I was confused for a bit, until I realized she was meaning leaving Earth to go to "Planet Play!" Hahahaha!

Halle was saying her prayers tonight, and prayed, "I can give you hugs and kisses . . . and carrots. Good carrots, so you can eat good food, not bad food." Thanks for the healthy eating tips, Hal . . . pretty sure God needs them!

Landon: "Mom, can I turn my name to Shredder?"

Halle: "Mommy, are you happy?" "Yes." "I like happy mom, but I don't like grumpy mom."

Halle: "I don't like spiders. I like nice GIRL spiders!" I guess it's only the boy spiders who are mean!

I have picked up a new hobby, making picture frames from scratch. Landon has been asking me for like two weeks, "Mom, why do you like making frames so much?" It then turned into, "Mom, why are you obsessed with making frames?" And then, "Mom, I really like your frames. You are the best frame maker. Even better than people who make frames." :)

Landon was protesting to Steve, "Why are you going to school?!?!" to which Steve replied, "To get smart." Halle says, enthusiastically, "Oh, you're gonna get smart again?!?! Good job!!!!!"

After Steve called Halle "Baby Girl" she says to Steve, "I'm not a baby girl! I'm a princess. I'm your princess, and I'm going to marry you." Heehee

Halle looked at her blue, green, and brown M&Ms and said, "Mom, did you color these??"

Halle: "We sit on the couch . That's what we do with our bum."

I was cutting up onions for dinner and Halle said as she touched her eyes, "I don't like onions! I like dinner. Actually, quesadillas don't hurt my eyes!"

I was cooking dinner and noticed Halle had made off with one of my recipes. I asked her to bring it back and asked where my other one was. She said, "It's in the fridge." Assuming, of course, she was just jabbering w/o meaning I continued what I was doing. When I needed the missing recipe, I said again, "Halle, where is my other recipe?!?!" She said, "It's in the fridge!" I opened up the fridge and there is was on the shelf. #1. Why did she put it in the fridge?? #2. How on earth did she remember that's where she put it?? Haha!

Landon's new trick: He starts to babble in baby-like talk, and then says, "Mom, do you know what I just said??? I was speaking in Spanish!!"

Halle walks around all day putting any type of being (doll, animal, etc) in baskets (of ANY type). She is a VERY busy mother of many, many, animals and babies!

2011

Landon had a doctor appointment today. Halle says to Steve after I left with Landon, "Mommy's gone with Landon, mommy took Landon to the doctor so they could check his bum. I go the the doctor and they gave me shots in the arm, right here!" What?!?!?!

This morning I yelled at landon. He says to me tonight, "Mom, remember how you were so mean to me this morning and you made me cry so much?" I said, "Yup." He said, "That's a bad choice the Devil made you do. Jesus isn't going to let you live with your family forever." I guess now is the time to teach the kid about repentance!

Landon was in the bath while I was getting ready. He was asking question after question after question, non-stop . . . as usual. I finally said, "Ahh, Landon! Why do you always ask so many questions?!?!" He said, "Because I never stop, unless I'm sleeping." The boy knows his facts!

My mom said, "I'm not going to go to Bob's today because he's sick." Landon said, "Well you can 'visit the sick'."

My parents were sleeping in Halle's bed. When she woke up, before they were up, she went to the door and started knocking. "Get up guys! Open da (the) door. Open da door." Fifteen minutes later when my mom came out, she pointed her finger at her and said, "You go back to bed, right now!!!!"

Halle was putting a sticker across her baby doll's eyes. She then said to the baby is a scolding voice, "Don't be silly, Baby!"

Landon leaves the room and I hear him open the toilet lid and go pee. He then comes out without flushing, closing the lid or washing his hands. I say, "Landon, go flush, close the lid, and wash your hands." He throws a little fit saying he already did. I then told him he did not, not to lie, and to go do it. He reluctantly does, then comes back in and says, "Mom, next time you should not be smart." :)

2010

Landon walked into my friend's home today and while in the same room as their small Christmas tree asked where it was. When he saw it and noticed how small it was, he said, "Santa isn't going to bring you and presents with a tree like that!"

Halle was walking around saying," Bankie, bankie (blankie)." Steve said, "You want your bankie?" She corrected his pronunciation, "No, bLankie!"

Landon says, "Mom, can we name our next baby Snowflake?"

In the car the other day there was a song on that says, "Everybody put your hands up, put your hands up," to which Landon says, "Are they talking to the police??"

Steve says to Landon, "I'm going to tickle your brains out." Landon waits and then says, "Daddy, do you want me to die?" Steve in shock says, "No!" Landon, "Well if you get my brain out I will die." Haha!

Landon says to me, " Mom, your legs are like a skyscraper, right??"

Needed to pee REALLY bad on the way home from Salt Lake tonight. Landon says to me when we are almost home,, "Mom, you just have to push the pee up." Haha! Never been given advice on how to hold it in from a 5 year old before, but it's funny! I guess these are things a 5 year old thinks about.

Landon: "Halle, guess who Noah was?? He was a man who opened the sea! He was mad at someone." That is a whole new idea of "rewriting scripture."

While in his basement bedroom, Landon says, "I was so afraid! I thought it was just a gynormous spider! But it wasn't, it was just a Carter Jack."

While driving in the car:

Landon: Hey you dumb lady!

Mom: Landon, you shouldn't say that.

Landon: Why do you say it?

Mom: I shouldn't say that, I just do sometimes when I'm frustrated with people who aren't driving well. It's not nice.

Landon: I will say it when I'm big.

Mom: No, you shouldn't say it. It's a bad choice for mommy.

Landon: When I'm big I will teach you a lesson.

Halle says, "I wanna ride on your forehead!" She really means shoulders ;) hahaha

Landon is dancing for Carter to make him smile and he finally comes in and says, "I need to take a break from spinning. That makes me a good dancer."

We have a swarm of dragon flies that occasionally fly around our front yard in the evenings. The other night I pointed them out to Landon, saying, "Look at those dragon flies, Landon." He said, "What do them do? Them just blow little fire??" Hahaha! Why wouldn't he think they blow fire like a normal dragon?!

Steve asked Halle to come here, to which she said in a serious voice, "I go get my jammies, (she holds her pointer finger up) one minute." Can you really argue with that?

After Landon's friend, Logan, hurts Halle, Landon says, "Logan, ok, here's the deal with you being mean to Halle. The Devil is trying to make you do bad things so you don't live with Heavenly Father again."

We had a lesson tonight on Daniel in the Lion's Den. When we were finished, with a scared, concerned face, Halle said, "Lions eat Halle?? Lions eat Halle? Lions eat Landon? Lions eat Carter? Lions bite me (as she grabs her belly and starts to whine)?" Haha, funny girl!!!

Landon said asked when the dinosaurs from the dinosaur museum were going to be alive. When I told him, once again, that dinosaurs are all dead and will never be alive again he said, "But I know lots of guys with magic wands and they will make them all alive again!" Good luck with that one, kid!

Landon had to have ear drops, and a few minutes after putting them in he cried, "My ear is slobbery!!" :( so sad, haha!

Upon looking up in the sky to see a full moon (As opposed to a crescent), Landon says, "Look at the moon! It got it's piece back!"

Landon: Gosh, it's so hard for me to relax. My life tells me mean words, it tells me to be mean."

Tonight the kids were in the kitchen eating ice cream. Steve was in the other room eating his. Halle came in after finishing hers, saw Steve's bowl, and goes right up to him saying, "What's that, Dad?? What's that, Daddy?" Steve says, "Broccoli." I told Steve, "She likes broccoli, that's not going to work!" To which she started clapping her hands and excitedly said, "I like broccoli, I like broccoli!!!" as she leaned over and inspected his bowl. Landon walked into the room then and said, "You Pumer-head!!" (he's always making up "names"), to which Halle immediately said, "Don't say that, Landon!"----These kids are made of somethin' else!

In an effort to convince us he shouldn't have to eat the rest of his lunch and skip to ice cream, Landon said, "My belly is too full, it hurts. Ice cream will make it feel better."

I got out the matches to light a candle and Halle said, "Happy Birthday fire!" I will now be calling matches that!

Landon asked Steve, "Dad, why do your arms have polkadots?

On Halle's second birthday I got her out of bed and sang happy birthday to her a couple times in a row so she would get the idea that it was her birthday. Right after I finished, she said, "I'n some cake! I'n some i-crean-cone!" Yeah, she knew what was coming . . . she just didn't get that she had to wait 10 hours for that part of the day!

Landon's new saying: "What my heck?!?!?!?!"

When Landon gets mad at me now, he says in a dramatic voice, "Now you've ruined me!"

Landon says to me, "You know why I give you so much hugs? Because I love you so much." :)

Landon says to Steve, totally seriously, "Dad, are we going to Home Depot or not?!?!?!"

Landon says, "Do you know what the best thing to do with bad guys is?? You get a tractor, scoop them up, and . . . . . . take them to the jungle. There are tigers in the jungle and they will EAT them! That's the best thing to do with bad guys."

Steve called Landon "Little Buddy" and Landon said, "I'm huge, so you better call me 'Huge Landon.'"

I walked in the kitchen tonight and Landon looked at me and said in a relieved voice, "Hi mom! I thought an alligator ate you."

Landon says to Halle, "Give me a hug, you little furball!"

Landon, in all seriousness: "My pants keep falling down. That's a bad choice for my pants!"

One of the funny things Halle says: "Gimmee dat!"

As Landon is messing around on my bed, he falls between the bed and the dresser, stands up, and says, "Owww! That wasn't a-posed to happen!"

Daddy says, "I'm going to tickle you to death!" and Landon says, "No, I don't have death."

After Landon's haircut, Steve says to Landon, "You better watch out Landon, the girls will be all over you," to which Landon said, "No, just some of the time."

"Landon, your belly is so skinny!" Landon, "Yeah, it is. It almost has hair on it. You want to feel my armpits??"

2009

Landon, "I'm the boss of the whole world."

"Landon, you are so good at sharing." "Yes, I'm are. I share b/c I'm so nice."

Halle, after watching the Jungle Book with Landon is going around dancing and singing, "Ooo, ooo, ooo," as in, "Ooo, ooo, ooo . . . I wanna be like you, ooo, ooo!"

As Landon was getting ready to get in bed: "Landon, why are your jammies wet?" His response, in a serious tone, "I don't know, maybe an alligator peed on them."

Landon: "Daddy!! When I'm bigger I can have a slingshot, then when the giant comes, I can put a ROCK in it and SHOOT him with it and KILL him . . . when I'm bigger."

Landon: "Mommy, do babies cry when they are in your tummy?" "No, they don't." "But Sarah's baby does! Her wants to come out!"

While in the store I told Landon to sit down in the cart, to which he inquired if the Wal-mart people would be mad if he didn't. I just told him that they want him to be safe. He asked, "What could happen?" I told him he could fall out and cut his head for one thing," to which he responded, "And then I wouldn't have a head anymore . . . and I wouldn't be able to talk?"

Halle and Landon crawl around the floor chasing each other with squeals of delight! Cute

Landon: Mommy, your arms are squishy.

Landon: Mom, those are big legs. Those are cool big legs. I should have big legs!

Landon: Uh-oh! It's getting dark. Why it has to get dark?? I don't want it to get dark! Who's tired in the sky??

Landon: Mom, who sewed your belly button in?
